She can help you with financial arrangements and dental financing options to fit your budget, as well as coordinating dental insurance benefits. She LOVES DENTISTRY: She says the greatest reward in this career is helping a patient understand their needs, and fulfilling their wish list. Her reward, your SMILING FACE! Her outside interests include travel, loves animals, and enjoys our local beaches.
LaVerle is our Registered Dental Hygienist. She has been in the dental field for over 30 years, working as a Registered Dental Assistant, Office Administrator, and then went on to obtain her Registered Dental Hygiene license from Cypress College in 1994. Because of her experience, she is very knowledgeable in many aspects of dentistry and eager to help in your dental needs. LaVerle takes pride in making your appointment thorough, yet gentle, and is not one of those “lecturing” hygienists, rather is ready to help with your questions. She is trained in the latest technological advances, which include digital radiographs, periodontal instrumentation techniques, anesthesia, laser therapy, and maintenance of Dr. Shubin’s implant restorations. She is a native Californian, loves animals and has volunteered with the local animal shelters fostering many orphan animals, and in her spare time LaVerle takes great pride in being mom to her twins.
With over 20 years experience in the dental field, my career started in 1995 as a Dental Assistant in Orange County, CA. During this time, I was able to complete the Registered Dental Assistant credential program and by 2007, received my certification to practice with Extended Functions. Receiving the advanced credential of RDAEF has helped me gain a wide range of knowledge in the Dental field by allowing me to work alongside a variety of Dentist’s, perfecting my skill set. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on all types of procedures, the more complicated the better in my book. I’m very happy I chose to make Dentistry my career and have recently started courses to practice as a Dental Hygienist. I enjoy all aspects of my job, from the moment a patient walks in and may need some help with their nerves, to educating my friends and family but mostly the care and attention I’m able to have during a dental procedure – no matter the complicity! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, being a wife and mother, watching movies, bowling and anything that involves Calgary hockey.
